The art of making a home in somewhere new
Lost somewhere between the Mediterranean coast and the Caribbean Sea, my designs marry the local color of the tropics with an old world appreciation for history and artisan craft.

Book Arts
Looking for ways to talk about migration outside of policy, headlines and legal status alone, my zines combine a background in book arts, graphic design and magical realism with a colorful counternarrative to address xenophobic and anti-migration rhetoric.

“Greetings from the Diáspora.” (2024)
*Greetings from the Diáspora is a photo zine based on a past trip to Jamaica in the mountains where my family is from. In the title, the Spanish and Portuguese form of the word “diaspora” is used to highlight the black diaspora in the Caribbean and Latin America, where Brazil is said to have the most afro-descendents outside of Africa in the world. Blossoming is the second work in this series.
